How To Create Blogs In Blogspot? Things To Note
Blogger is an American online content management system
founded in 1999 by Pyra Labs, later acquired by Google. Starting a blog on
Blogspot is easy; all you need to do is create a Gmail account, open Blogger
website, and sign in with your Gmail credentials.
You are all set to start your blog on Blogspot. Now click on the NEW
POST tab and start typing your content. Do not forget to use suitable images. If
the blog post is SEO compatible, the chances of getting traffic are higher. To make
it SEO friendly, a blogger should keep these things in mind.
Use the focus keyword in the title.
Sentences should be short and easy to understand. 20 words/sentence
is ideal.
If needed, do not refrain from splitting sentences meaningfully.
Because reading easiness matters.
Never miss a space after the full stops.
Fonts and their colors should not disturb reading easiness.
Blog page should be device-friendly.
Anchor text optimization
Anchor text is the word that is hyperlinked (Anchor tagging)
to another page or website. Google considers hyperlinking as a recommendation
and chances for the bots to crawl your blog increase by doing so. Anchor texts
also help Google to understand your page. It is advised to hyperlink trustworthy pages. You
can have multiple anchor texts in a blog as they encourage the crawling process of
the content by Google. Google considers a click on an anchor text by a user as
an interaction, which is a positive thing for the blog.
While optimizing anchor text never make focusing keyword as
anchor text because in such cases, Google’s crawling bots take it as a recommendation for the same
keyword and crawls the hyperlinked page instead of yours.

Separate headings and subheadings
Give sub-headlines to your blog and differentiate it this
way. Select your headline and click on the Normal tab of the content setting
menu. A drop-down menu will appear, select Subheading or minor heading
accordingly. Explanatory content below every subheadline should match each
other.

Image optimization
Image optimization helps crawl, index, and attract
traffic. It can direct traffic to your website if a person searches for an image
that is related to your website content. Three factors help Google to understand
an image – file name, alt name, and content in and around the image. When you
download an image for using it in a blog, give it a file name that is connected/similar
to the focusing keyword. The alt name or alternate name should be similar to the focusing
keyword. The third point tells us to display images related to the content.
Enabling search description
Now that your content and image are optimized, you need to
enable search description. The search description is a summary of your blog post. The
description helps to improve the number of visits your posts receive from
search engines.
Follow these steps to enable the search description
Go to your Blogger dashboard à
go to Settings àscroll
down till you see Meta Tags à
enable it.
Go back to your blog post and check for the search description
tab on the right side and type short info about the blog. The search description
has a limit of 150 characters.
